The “Being the Difference” curriculum is designed to empower girls 7-10 years of age by looking at aspects of love, beauty, gratitude, peace, acceptance, courage, creativity, awareness, and silence.
The seminars have an underlying theme of creating acceptance and understanding of others both as individuals and those who hold different cultural or belief systems. Through the use of storytelling and interactive discussion, we will follow the adventures of the young goddess Aphrodite as she learns from her friends Oshun, Laksmi, and Isis how to be a goddess of love.
We are proud to offer the first of these workshops, “Love and Beauty” on Sunday, November 4th for girls and their parents to participate in. This interactive workshop relies on the active involvement of everyone in attendence, big or small.
