Whitney has worked extensively with children ages 2-18 as a Pre-K and elementary teacher, high school mental health counselor, and children’s yoga instructor. She fell in love with yoga after years of running left her injured, sore, and defeated. Yoga has since helped her through life’s most challenging moments. She has completed mini yogis foundation and teen/tween trainings, Yoga Education for Autism Spectrum, Level 1 of Yoga Therapy with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, and completed her 200-hour teacher training with Tamal Dodge.

As an elementary teacher, Whitney founded her school’s first ever Yoga Club for Kindergarten-4th Grade students. She fell in love with seeing a different more playful, calm, and silly side to her students. Whitney holds an M.A. degree from Pepperdine in Clinical Psychology and when she’s not on her yoga mat is a therapist and mindfulness/yoga teacher to teens at a public school. Whitney’s classes are nurturing, playful, creative, and challenging. She especially enjoys meeting each child where s/he is at and working with children with a variety of needs.
